The Hotel Savoy is located in an aristocratic palace that dates back to the late 1880s. It was transformed into a hotel in the 1900s but still retains its grand original style with marble floors and Murano glass chandeliers.
The Hotel Savoy provides an unbeatable location from which to begin any form of Roman stay. The hotel is located at the corner of Via Veneto and within walking distance of the metro, the main shopping district and the famed Villa Borghese. Location is a safe, quite area, close to the USA embassy and Government buildings and the Hotel is conveniently reachable both by car or Metro since it’s just outside the ZTL – traffic restricted area.
Spread over six floors the Savoy has 120 functionally furnished and well-equipped rooms. Similar in atmospheres and chromatic choices but different in size and services, they welcome guests with elegant furnishing.
Most of the action is centred at the Granet Restaurant Bar & Terraces on the roof garden. From there a delicate stairway rises to a mezzanine floor providing panoramic views of the city, which includes St Peter’s, the Vittoriano, the Quirinal Palace, Villa Medici and the Pincio. Better still is the 7th floor terrace that seems to float over the city and is the perfect place to enjoy the lights, as the city wakes up after a spectacular sunset.
